Every time i open the client and click launch it says "Error checking for jar updates. Check your internet connection and any firewall software you have installed" i've checked my firewall and antivirus, i've restarted my pc and router. is anyone else getting this same issue?

If it shows that error message when you are trying to launch the beta version, then disable the "Use Beta" option and try to launch the non-beta version. It's a known issue that already has been reported to developers.
