Can’t open badlion client
I redownloaded badlion client after deleting it before. It told me to download windows 7 service pack 1. It never told me to do that the first time i’ve downloaded. I downloaded the service pack thing but it said it was already installed. I tried going back to badlion but it said I still did not have it. I am unsure what to do and i’m hoping someone could help.

Hello,

  • Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15090/windows-7-install-service-pack-1-sp1
  • There are two ways of installing it:
#1: installing Windows 7 SP1 using Windows Update (recommended).
#2: downloading and installing Windows SP1 from the Microsoft Download Center
Both options are explained there. Read the page carefully and choose the right option.
  • Also, you are required to download the security patch for SHA-2 support. The download link for it is here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/download/details.aspx?id=46078 (for x86-based Systems (32-bit)), https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=46148 (for x64-based Systems).

  • If it shows that error message even when you don't have Windows 7, make sure to check if you haven't set Badlion Client compatibility to Windows 7. Click on the Badlion Client shortcut on your desktop, then click on Properties, then click on Compatibility and untick the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for".

If you don't mind sharing what exactly ended up fixing this issue?
