Running Badlion in WINE?
Heyo,

I was wondering whether anyone here has experience in running Badlion client in WINE on Debian(Lubuntu). There don't seem to be any missing/broken components apart from TLS (I am using MONO Framework, not sure if that's an issue).

The lack of TLS breaks the installation process and all downloads just time out.

If anyone has done this before I would appreciate some guidance.

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Badlion Client is not available on Wine so any way around this will not work, that's why the installation gets blocked.

Not available? That doesn't really make sense WINE just runs Windows executables in a virtual Windows 7 environment.

Anyway I got it working by running the installer on actual Windows and moving the install files to the VHD

EDIT: This obviously breaks BAC but it still says it's enabled? I'm able to join BAC servers even though the Client is running in WINE. Is this a bug?

The reason it doesn't work like that is because the Badlion Client doesn't run on virtual machines.

I think you misunderstand me - it did work

I can install it on a legitimate windows machine and transfer the files to my WINE install and it seems to run.

My worry is that BAC reports proper function despite(Obviously) not being able to secure such a thing

Does this still work?
