Unable to update graphics drivers
Posted on 23 April 2020 - 11:12 PM
Whenever I try to launch minecraft (badlion or regular launcher) it crashes. Badlion says that my graphics drivers might be out of date. I have tried to update them, and it says that they are up to date. Plz help.Posted on 24 April 2020 - 01:55 AM
Hello,If you have Intel graphics: Go to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html and download the tool that is made by Intel. It will run a scan to check if you have installed the latest version of the graphics driver.
If you have NVIDIA graphics: Go to https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx and select your graphics card model. Then install the latest version of the graphics driver.
If you have AMD graphics: Go to https://www.amd.com/en/support and download the tool that is made by AMD. It will run a scan to check if you have installed the latest version of the graphics driver.
If you have the latest driver installed and if it still shows that error, submit a bug report by clicking on "Submit Bug Report" at the bottom of the launcher after having this issue. It will send us your logs and the tech support team will look into the issue.

I have made a report as you said. Is it strange that I have both NVIDIA and Intel(R) graphics drivers? Either way they are both completely up to date.Posted on 24 April 2020 - 03:09 PM

No, it's not weird at all.

I got it to fix. It was a wierd solution, but i had to delete my options.txt file from the .minecraft folder, then i was able to launch my game. I only had to redo my settings and my game was fixed.Last edited on 25 April 2020 - 03:55 PM by UnknownFact

That's interesting. You might have enabled an option that might have caused the game to crash (one of the quality options). I'm pretty sure your game logs showed the exact crash reason.
Thank you for sharing this solution. It might be useful next time when someone else might have the same issue.
