A few months ago I switched from Forge to the Badlion Client indefinitely, mainly because it runs a lot smoother and there are a lot of options and customizability that is simply not available with the use of Forge. Though there are a couple of really simple mods that I used to use on Forge which aren't available on the Badlion Client - these consist of a name history mod, as well as a longer chat history mod.

These two simply mods make everyday gameplay of Minecraft a lot more convenient, you don't have to go onto a separate website to check someone's name history if they happen to change their name and you not recognize them, and scrolling up in chat to see older messages rather than asking someone to repeat themselves is easier too.

If these two mods/functions were implemented into the Badlion Client, there'd be no reason for me to be tempted to switch back to Forge.

If any of these are already implemented into the client then I apologize, but I don't believe they are.

Hello Olli!

There is an option in the new chat of Badlion Client for an infinite chat history! To enable this option, click the settings icon in the new chat, scroll down and simply enable infinite chat history. If you do not have new chat enabled, press esc, click Badlion Client Options, go to "Other" in the top navigation bar, and enable new chat. Then go back to the chat, and enable infinite chat history. A mod that checks a player's previous Minecraft usernames has not been implemented into Badlion yet, but it would be quite nice if they were to implement it! I hope I could help!

Thank you! I didn't realize there was a history option, and it actually works for regular chat too not just the new chat. Now all that's needed is a name history mod, it'd make life so much easier 😂

Sorry, I usually use the new chat. I didn't know it could be used for the normal chat.
