Hello, thanks for reading this thread. Basically, Badlion occasionally mistakes servers that don't implement BAC with servers that do. I've seen this happen with Hypixel, Minemen Club, ViperMC, and Invaded Lands. I don't think it's dependent on the server. What happens is that it shows the BAC symbol on the server before you join, and when you join it loads for a few minutes, and then says to verify that the server has a certain port open. It's pretty annoying, but if you refresh your servers the bug usually goes away. Hope this gets fixed soon, but it's not a super big deal,

Yes, this is a known bug and multiple players have recently been reporting it. You're correct, refreshing the server list usually fixes the issue so, in the meantime, please feel free to help those who you see had the same problem as you- to prevent further debates regarding the issue as the DEV team is currently working on a solution :)
