Upon logging in today, I found that my server list was wiped. I thought this was weird, but decided I would just add the servers back. But anytime I add a server it gets cleared upon refresh. I don't know what happened. It worked yesterday, but doesn't today. Is anyone able to help me understand this anomaly?

This could be a vanilla Minecraft bug.
Do all servers get cleared after clicking on the refresh button once?


Also, have you tried these solutions?
• 1. (Do this one immediately after servers have disappeared) Don't exit the game (else servers.dat_tmp will be deleted)
2. Navigate to .minecraft/
3. Rename the file servers.dat_tmp to servers.dat
4. Refresh the list in the game.

• If you have Windows, you might as well be able to restore a previous version of the file by right-clicking the current servers.dat file and selecting "Restore previous versions".

• Make a back-up version of the servers.dat file and move it to a different place (e.g. your desktop). Once your servers get deleted, move that back-up version into the Minecraft directory, then relaunch the game.
