Badlion not verifying
Posted on 16 June 2020 - 08:15 AM
I've seen some more threads talking about this, but I still don't really know what to do.So, I just opened Badlion client today, and it opened fine. Everything seemed normal, until the "authenticating" screen just didn't finish. I first waited for 5 minutes, nothing happened. Then I restarted badlion. Same story, then I restarted my computer. Reopened badlion twice.
And then suddenly I got a pop-up saying my DNS-server didn't respond. Honestly, I know what DNS is (I looked it up) but I don't know how I should fix this problem. Is there a way to fix it easily? I've seen suggestions to change my DNS-server, but I don't know what thats going to do for all the other devices in the house.
And does this happen often? Because I hope this isn't a major issue…
Anyway, I hope you have a solution, even if it is to just wait it out. I hope for you badlion staff that this doesn't mean a whole lot of extra work and coding, because you guys are working hard and it's noticable in your client; it's awesome.
Thank you in advance!

Btw I don't know why I'm writing this like it's a mail, but to me it seems like the correct way XD

Hello,Firstly, make sure your antivirus and firewall are not blocking the Badlion Client connections.
I don't know what antivirus software you are using, that's why you might need to use Google for more information.
As for the firewall, you can either whitelist Badlion Client to it or completely disable it (temporarily).
If you are having DNS issues, check this article for more information (there is a possible solution mentioned as well) - https://support.badlion.net/hc/en-us/articles/360013991559-DNS-Problems
It doesn't change your actual IP address. It just changes where your computer looks up domains. It doesn't affect any other device.
