• If you have lots of servers in your servers list, create a backup of the servers.dat file (you can find it in the Minecraft directory), so next time when this issue happens, copy & paste servers.dat into the Minecraft directory and then refresh the servers list.• There is another method:
1. Don't exit the game (else servers.dat_tmp will be deleted)
2. Navigate to .minecraft/
3. Rename the file servers.dat_tmp to servers.dat
4. Refresh the list
