Certain texture packs have issues with being extremely dark in a dark area, like turning my screen completely black. I saw another thread of this that is inactive from about 8 months ago. Not sure if it is my hardware or a BLC glitch but with certain packs things like this happen.

I have made a couple of findings of common "solutions" people give that do NOT work for me. (They may work for you so try them.)
These "solutions" include:
-Turning on/off Fullbright
-Turning off Motion Blur
-Turning on Low Graphics Mode
-Removing shadow.png and shadow.png.mcmeta from (Selected Pack)/assets/minecraft/textures/misc)
-Use another resource pack (I'm trying to find a solution regarding the resource pack and not to completely avoid it)

There may be another solution that I do not know but after hours of looking I found only one old thread that has died

This is not a BLC glitch, you have to turn off custom colors its part of the vanilla minecraft area.
