I'm attempting to load the new 1.16 client, yet I'm getting an error message that shouldn't be affecting me.It reads: Error checking for jar updates. Check your internet and firewall.

My friends and I are having the same problem. Today was 1.16's release day and when I tried using 1.16, it had the same error. It reads: Error checking for jar updates. Check your internet and firewall. My I tried disabling my firewall and it still didn't work. My internet connection is strong enough. All versions 1.15.2 and earlier work fine. Hello,Although 1.16 came out today, compatibility with the Badlion Client has still not been released. So, until then (which won't take long), this message will appear if you do not have the Insider rank.

mine doesnt say any of that mine says "error uodating jar. -29" and it is just for 1.8.9.

In that case, when it fails to launch, click "Submit Bug Report" (it should appear in a big blue button) and temporarily disable the "Use beta?" feautre as they seem to be linked.
