Skins Not loading

So I normally play 1.8.9 but recently I wanted to make a server with friends, I wanted it to be 1.16.1. So I went and got one but whenever I load into 1.16.1 all skins including mine are steve and alex. This is really annoying and I would like to know a fix.Posted on 29 July 2020 - 10:14 AM
Hello,Is the server you made "offline" (accepts "non-premium" accounts) ? If so, this is normal. If this is not the case, please tell me as I've seen a variation of this issue these past few weeks.

If you still have issues with loading skins, try to use a skin plugin such as Skin Restorer which will force-load and check all skins using your Minecraft username.Posted on 26 August 2020 - 12:18 PM
When I join Hypixel or Cubecraft on 1.16.1 using Badlion client I experience the same issue. But when I use the official launcher everything seems to work fine, this is probably a glitch that will get patched soon because it doesn't have anything to do with the type of server that you are playing on (I also tried joining a cracked survival server and experienced the same issue).
