Badlion Client is unable to launch
Posted on 24 August 2020 - 11:17 AM
Whenever I open the Badlion Client, it says, "Checking for Client Update". Then, shortly after it just closes out. I have tried, Restarting My Computer, Reinstalling Badlion Client, and running it as administrator. I'm not using a VPN, and my antivirus has nothing to do with it.Posted on 25 August 2020 - 03:06 AM
Hmm, i have seen this a few times, although I don't know the cause. If you could DM me this log file that would be great:C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Badlion Client\logs\log.log
If you are on Windows I believe you can delete the following files to do a clean uninstall (after you have ran the automatic uninstaller):
C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Badlion Client
C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Badlion Client
C:\Users\{YOUR_USERNAME}\AppData\Local\badlion-client-updater
C:\Program Files\Badlion Client\
Then it should go ahead and do a full reinstallation and it should work.

This probably means Minecraft is still running in the background. Go check in task manager and kill any "javaw" or "java" processes and then try again.

I didn't find the log file, but I did do a clean uninstall and a full reinstall. The first time I opened it when I installed it, it said, "Update available, please wait…" Then it closed out after around 10 seconds. I opened it again and it's now doing the exact same thing it had been doing.Posted on 25 August 2020 - 10:20 AM
Do you have Discord? Send me a DM with your handle. I can try to debug this further with you.
