Welcome to the last Badlion Client 2 Update ever! We are excited to announce Badlion Client 2.17 which is bringing some much requested features to the client for one last update before Badlion Client 3.0 becomes the new mainstream version for Badlion Client.

While I have your attention. I want to quick remind people that WINDOWS 7/8/8.1 WILL NO LONGER WORK ON BLC 3.0!!!. Upgrade to Windows 10 if you are still not on it.

I will explain more about the coming months in the conclusion section and talk about or plans with BLC 3.0. For now, let's dive into the changes for BLC 2.17.

Infrastructure Upgrades

BAC Plugins - We have gone ahead and created plugins for our BAC software on Velocity (another proxy software) in this last update. A few servers wanted to use BAC but we did not support Velocity at the time. Now we do! We have some more changes coming to the BAC Plugins in the coming months still.

Pretty short infrastructure upgrade list this time. Most of the work is on BLC 3.0 preparation.



NotEnoughUpdates Mod

Are you a Skyblock player? Well then you probably have heard of the NotEnoughUpdates mod. In this update we are adding a few features from the original mod into the Badlion Client. These features include:

Item Collection Log

Jungle Axe Overlay

We are aware that there are more features that the original NotEnoughUpdates mod has that we are not supporting. We are planning on adding the missing features in Badlion Client 3.0 though! Stay tuned for more information on this.

JustEnoughItems Mod



Are you a singleplayer user? Did you forget how to craft the Diamond armor you need to stay alive? Well look no further than the JustEnoughItems mod! We show you exactly how to craft any item in the game without having to keep opening up the Wiki for Minecraft. We have some plans to expand on this mod also for the NotEnoughUpdates mod as well to show you the Skyblock crafting recipes at a later date as well. LightOverlay Mod



Are you interested in seeing how lighting works in Minecraft? Well now you can do exactly that with the new LightOverlay mod. You can visualize lighting levels in Badlion Client and see the difference between sky light and cave light as well. We will add some further improvements to this mod in Badlion Client 3.0 as well based on the feedback we receive from the community! Share your ideas with us.

BlockInfo Mod



Want to see more F3 information without seeing it all? Look no further than the BlockInfo mod. We have gone ahead and built a prettier version of the common debug information related to the block you are looking at into this latest mod. You can view:

The name of the block

The position of the block

The best tool to break the block

The amount of time it takes to break the block with that tool

The amount of light the block is exposed to

This mod is a cool little utility tool for new comers to the game :)

Optifine 1.16.2 Support

Similar to the last update, we have gone ahead and added support for Optifine in Minecraft 1.16.2. We also will have it being supported in Minecraft 1.16.3 as well very soon. In Badlion Client 3.0 we are changing how we work with Optifine and it should make updates much faster going forward.

Added a graphics option to disable rendering of maps when they are inside of item frames

Added an option to Keystrokes mode to show decimal CPS

Added an option to enable crosshair in F5

Added an option to set waypoints to a specific dimension (overworld, nether, end, etc)

Added offhand support to ArmorStatus mod

Added the ability to choose different enchant glint colors for different tools and armor

Added a keybind to copy your coordinates to the clipboard to paste in chat (default is not bound, can be found in the Chat Mod)

Fixed an edge case for patching not working if one of the files on disk was corrupted

Fixed a small issue where sometimes BLC assets would not patch properly if you had only a couple of files that needed fixing

Removed ToggleChat mod from 1.7 since Hypixel is only 1.8+

Added a warning if you are too low on disk space for us to save your mod profile in attempt to prevent corrupt mod profiles

There you have it folks. The last Badlion Client 2 Update. I just want to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped us to get here. All of you are awesome and we are excited that over 700,000 of you are using Badlion Client every month!

Now for the big Badlion Client 3.0 news that everyone is waiting for. As mentioned earlier, this was the last update for Badlion Client 2 and the next version will be Badlion Client 3. We are planning on offering a closed beta for BLC 3.0 just like we did back in 2018 for BLC 2. This closed beta will be available to all Insiders, and more information on how to download and upgrade to BLC 3.0 will be available at a later date. We are still holding to a full release of BLC 3 before the end of 2020, but if you want to gain access to all of the BLC 3.0 features early, you will need an Insider membership. We have some cool new features coming to Insider as well with BLC 3.0, and some special limited edition cosmetics for BLC 3.0 as well. I would suggest waiting until BLC 3.0 is in closed beta before upgrading to make the most of your membership time.

I don't have dates at this time to share, as we are hard at work nailing down the final Day 1 features for BLC 3.0, but we will share a date as soon as we have one! It's coming very soon though, I promise. We will also be doing weekly patches for BLC 3.0 during the closed beta as well. That means new features, bug fixes, FPS improvements, etc every single week till the end of 2020!

Mod suggestions: (I don't go on the forums so I don't know if these have already been said)
- Separate Schematica's printer from the block overlay so that servers can choose to only disable the printer
- Quickplay mod for Hypixel
- A /afkmessage mod that replies with "Sorry, I'm afk right now. This is a mod speaking for me." whenever someone messages you in-game and you have toggled it on with /afkmessage
- A mod that allows you to lock an item, like SB Addons, but it isn't limited to one gamemode. (Any gamemode of your choice?) This could be useful if you don't want to like drop your good sword in factions.
- The ability to edit your BLC settings in the start menu so you don't have to join a singleplayer world to check out the new stuff
- The ability to include/exclude certain potion effects from showing up in your potion HUD
- I'm a fan of Refraction, and in his Mod Pack V4 he lists some mods that turn him off from playing Badlion Client. The above one is the only one I can remember from his video, I think
- Patcher? I'm not sure if that's included in Badlion Client, but I know that you can't toggle certain sounds in-game so maybe add that feature?
- Wyntils? I'm really tempted to switch to Forge when playing Wynncraft
- The ability to show that you're playing BLC (like the insider diamond but for everyone); you can toggle if you want to see others', and you can also toggle if you want yours to show (people switch to lunar because if they use lunar they can see others using lunar and then only fight them if they're going on a winstreak in like hypixel duels)
- For the chat mod, a different type of timestamp: It tells you how long ago the chats were rather then the clock times – no more looking at the clock
- For the nickhider skin, give everyone a different skin?
- The option to mute a specific person in chat (across all servers) / the option to not see chats where the chatter has a grey name tag (I'm not rankist, it's just a feature)
- The ability to hide armour/health/food bars and/or replace them with a number or status bar like in SB Addons? When playing a game with like double health on, it can help hide the distraction. Also, for servers where everything is measured in hp points (x/20 hp), it could help you figure out your health without you doing division
- The ability to hide certain GUIs, rather than everything when pressing f1 / always? I don't know why someone would want this, but it's a feature
- Group messaging with other badlion players? Like, if you're on a factions server without party/faction chat, you can set up a party chat with them in-game and it would function like a hypixel party chat but on a server that doesn't have it? It's a feature!
- The ability to hide the potion swirls in-game? Those can be annoying
- "Super secret settings" but it's a mod and you can choose which one you want to put on. It would also allow you to do the settings in 1.16
- Sound subtitles for 1.8? I think they were added in 1.12 and they're rather useful for people that play without sound. I'd like them in 1.8 too
- A control + z and control + y thing for these comments
- autogrammar (capitalization, periods, spelling) for chat?
- Change your name or someone else's name in-chat to whatever you want? It wouldn't cause much harm because photoshop exists and it'd be funny. I guess it'd work like the highlighting your name in-chat thing. It only works on your client, so it won't confuse other blc users, of course
- f11 glitch for 1.8? Probably not, right?
- Like the previous idea, perhaps you could rename your items to whatever you want on your screen? It would only be visible to you.
- Some way to quickly find all the color codes (&f, &4, etc.) in client without the wiki
- Crop/edit scoreboards so they don't show some information? For instance, if the lobby you're in is on the scoreboard, maybe you could hide that. Another example would be you hiding your balance or something in a factions server
- Slow chat like in a live stream, but for your in-game chat? This could help prevent spam
- Mod that allows you to easily tell the difference between melon and pumpkin stems
- Mod that allows you to know when your crops are fully grown
- Blockinfo mod allows you to know the average time it takes for a crop to grow up
- 20/20/20 mod that helps you take breaks
- Direct connect history so you can direct connect to servers without retyping their addresses in?
- Server join history so you can quickly rejoin a server that you deleted and left behind
- The ability to limit the amount of messages that YOU send every like five minutes so you don't seem that talkative
- Every time you launch BLC launcher it doesn't ask you for the administrative password and stuff
- You can copy and paste something that someone else said (this way you can translate characters you don't know how to type by copy and pasting what they said into a translator)

Can JustEnoughItems be used on server? If not, why not just disable it by default and allow server owners to enable, like Schematica Printer?
