To be honest you just want pure flat maps, as much as I love flat pvp they don't need to be boring flat maps, obstacles are required in my opinion. The maps you are saying are amazing are just pure flat maps and to me I like them but there's no obstacles and using cover as much as you can is a vital feature in the game. However, I believe the obstacle needs to be carefully placed/sized because people can literally run for days on some maps.
