This is why I love Badlion. The owners, regardless of the person's status, won't go back on the rules for anyone.
I believe Badlion to be unique of this notion. Corruption of any position is not tolerated. Efforts against corruption are consistently enforced.
Because of this, I feel an overwhelming sense of loyalty to Badlion. The owners possess a steadfast loyalty for Badlion and its policies. While other servers have obstinately refused to crackdown on their corruption, Badlion has been persistent to deal with corruption. I hope that other servers learn from this. I hope they do as Badlion has done, and hastily relieve their fatigued player base from the corruption of its staff.

I feel fortunate to be a staff member of Badlion.

@Kev the varieties exist also in the mere fact that there are multiple ladders. The ladder is changed in order to vary more from the other non-pot ladders. (Namely iron ocn) I agree with you that removing he bow also lowers the number of strategies in the ladder, but maybe that's a good thing - Badlion is, almost by definition, and pvp practice server, and some people want to just straight-up practice non-speed sword combat.

My personal opinions on this matter, I think BadLion does have a large amount of extremly biased mods, such as one Vanilla match I was in with a mod (I think he changes his mc name, I don't Remmeber who he was now), I enderpearled up to the top of a pillar to repot, and he said if I don't hop down I will be kicked, so I was forced to jump down, and without pots on, I died, obviously, then later he was spectating me, and there was a camper in my game, his ign was Apple something, the match was 8 minutes long, and he kept commentating it, and I was requesting for him to warn the player for camping, he never did.

Also, you guys say you work with Kohi, but whenever someone mentions Kohi, you seem to get stiff about it (As in annoyed), which I think this is a great server overall, but there are a few out of hand staff.

Can you please point out some examples of where we get stiff about Kohi? I talk to the owner of Kohi on a bi-weekly basis freely.

As for the camping/running around rules we are going to clarify those in season 8 due to these problems. Of course if a mod is in your game and you are doing it to them then obviously they will enforce the rule. There are so many /report's coming in these days its hard to keep up with them. We are revamping that system at the moment too.

@hive_raven I feel like you removed the part where he explains why you are banned (the top of the post), I feel it's not fair if you don't post that.

@Hivlik if the demand is there, why not both? One simple vanilla no speed no bow diamond armor sword only ladder, and the original DOCN. Like they're doing with the UHC and advanced uhc or whatever it's being called.

It's removing a perfectly fine ladder which is unnecessary.

Not to mention I escalated the appeal because I believed he was being biased, and he just went ahead anyways.

For trikeri's appeal he was 7 day forum banned for posting "gross" on the SSB TE map thread.

The UHC Subreddit has always been like that, I wouldn't have expected any more from them.

This was an argument that I had with one of their moderators about 5 months ago:

As you can see, the moderators on that subreddit have little-to-no experience actually moderating. The whole subreddit is very elitist in general, and the mods were selected because either they were all friends with the creator or just seem as if they are smarter than everyone else because they know basic code. I agree with everything said on this post.

I've seen my fair share of Minecraft servers, and I've repeatedly said this, but I'm going to say it again:
I'm proud to be a member of Badlion, the single server I've come across where the administration truly cared for the satisfaction of the playerbase.

I'm one of the older members of oc.tc at this point— I've been registered for over two years, got tons of kills, got 1k forum posts, etc etc. However, I never felt a true sense of "loyalty" to the server. I'm pretty sure this is a result of exactly what you touch on in the following quote:

First and foremost thing is that a great way to make a playerbase mad is by promising something, planning it out, revealing details to the community, then just flat out throwing it away and finally by acting like nothing was promised. I'm talking about their plans for an arcade in particular, but you apply it to other things. Vaporware is a perfect comparison for this sort of thing. I don't even remotely care about their promised arcade, or their private message system, or what happened with @md_5 and the server maintenance—it's simply absurd to keep the community in the dark about such things.

Next point—whenever someone brings up "not listening to the community," they shut the thought out with "the forum users aren't our entire playerbase" and that "the community never agrees on anything." Then why don't you make a simple poll in-game and get a majority decision? It may seem trivial, but they either ignore rational methods, or they implement it when it's already too late.

Next to mention is the administration. Honestly speaking, I haven't seen much unprofessionalism on appeals/reports and such, so I won't say anything about that. However, they break bullet #2, and in an extremely blatant manner. The only reason they get away with it is because they hide and lock stuff that brings it to light. So many regulars are able to get away without being punished when they're clearly breaking the rules, and vice versa. The administration in that regard is laughable.

Forum administration is even worse; so bad that they need to have "official response" as a thing, so bad that they need to lock threads unnecessarily, so bad that they have to erase the presence of opinions (and facts) that they don't like, so bad that an uninformed senior moderator argues with informed players about a topic and makes himself look like a fool in the process, and so bad that people get forum banned for saying "gross," and simply "gross."

Looking back, I can't believe I was happy to be a member of such a server.
Here at Badlion, I actually experienced firsthand what it was like to be a member of a server that cared about whether or not I was enjoying myself.
I finally knew what it felt like to have admins that cared for having the most fun environment for its playerbase.
I'm proud to be a staff member here, and proud to be on such good terms with the rest of the staff team/administration.

I also seen a staff member favor a certain player because they are well known while they continue to say racist things, i am extremely glad that the Biased staff problem is known and is being investigated on.

Diamond OCN isn't played nearly as much as the UHC ladder. Not even close. The demand you're talking about simply doesn't exist. To split a ladder with zero people in it at most times would give you two ladders with zero people in them.

Is there going to be the UHC ladder now, and an advanced uhc ladder with diamond armor and ect? and btw I like smallish's idea.. just make it as the same enchants as now or make it a bit more random, you usually don't end up with a proj II on armor in any kind of uhc. And yeah Badlion has one of the coolest community's/staff out there on any server ive ever been a part of, The server has really started picking up these past few months and really has grown. The player base was around 300 when I though badlion was falling and giving into kohi and other servers, then when 3.0 came out the player base increased by at least a thousand. The people I really respect are the people who care about this server.
