Cant join Friends server.

Hello. I am having an issue joining my friends server in 1.8.9I can join it in the normal minecraft laucnher but when i switch to badlion i cant join it, its like it wont load or it dosent regisnise the ip. We recently changed the custome ip i dont know if it takes longer for badlion to see that than the normal minecraft laucnher. But i have reinstalled badlion and it still dosent work. I have logged in and out everywhere and still nothing. Even tried some other ips for the server and still nothing helped me.
Any ideas?

Do you get any messages when trying to join? If so can you please send a screenshot?Also make sure you don't have any firewalls/antiviruses/vpns enabled, if you do, make sure you have those disabled before you join.

I dont have any vpns or firewalls that could possibly block it. i have checked that. There is no sppecial message either. It just wont connect to the ip even though it has worked many times beforePosted on 22 October 2020 - 10:19 AM
I just found out that when using a VPN i am able to connect to the server.
