Hey everyone! I'm here to tell you all about the latest Badlion Client Update and the new Pre-Orders that are beginning right now for it! First let's get the cat out of the bag!
Closed Beta Start Date: October 30th!!!
That's right, the closed beta actually is beginning in a few days, and pre-orders are really just a few days ahead of the availability! We didn't want to make people pre-order something and then have to wait a few months to use it, so we decided to do our pre-orders just a few days before. We don't have an exact time yet though, so keep an eye on our social media or join our Discord to see when it becomes available.
For the rest of this post I will do it in a FAQ style, as this will be fastest and easiest for people to understand and find the information they are looking for.
What are the Day One Cosmetics?
We have a special set of limited edition cosmetics that are only going to be available until Saturday, October 31st at 16:00 UTC (72 hours from when this post goes live). These are going to be super special cosmetics that are for our early supporters, so if you are on the fence about buying them, you should do it ASAP! They will be gone before you know it.

I bought access to the beta, how do I download it?

Why can I not use PaySafeCard, SoFort, or other payment methods to buy the bundle?

What is a Beta?
A "Beta" is an opportunity to test out new software before it is deemed ready for complete public usage. T his means during a beta things are changing more quickly as we gather feedback from our audience on how we can improve things. What players might see on day 1 of the Badlion Client 3.0 Closed Beta may be different in a few weeks as we continue to adjust and improve the client based on all of the community feedback. It also means there will probably be some more bugs and crashes than you normally experience in Badlion Client gameplay, but fear not! Our team has been doing a fantastic job at fixing crashes and bugs as they have been reported by our tester team and we will continue to push hotfixes out as often as we can to ensure a smooth gameplay experience for everyone!
What is special about Badlion Client 3.0
Badlion Client 3.0 has had a complete UI redo. We have gone through almost every menu and redone it from the ground up. We are now offering three themes (Classic is currently unavailable as we fix some stuff on it) for free to all users to be able to customize their BLC experience. Insiders will also gain access to a new special area in the Theme Manager to go and customize their own color setup for the Badlion Client in game.
In addition to the UI updates we also have been hard at work on improving the FPS of Badlion Client 3.0. We will admit, we have not done everything that is on our TODO list yet, but some of the FPS improvements are already available today! In the coming weeks we will keep pushing performance updates and eventually offer a brand new FPS management menu under our Betterframes settings. Make sure to keep an eye on the patch notes. Updates are going out every few days (maybe daily).
I don't want cosmetics, and just want to play the beta.
If you are not interested in cosmetics and just want to play with the Badlion Client 3.0 there is another option (and always has been), that is our Insider rank. Where is the Linux Support?
Fear not, it is coming! Unfortunately I ran into a personal issue recently where my motherboard on my PC has started to die…and actually I can't even restart it anymore (my PC is over 8 years old). It took me around 8 hours about a week or so ago to get my PC to turn on. I couldn't get to the BIOS screen, and was fidgeting around for hours to turn it on. I'm terrified to restart my PC again, as I am afraid I won't be able to get it turn on. I have some new computer parts coming to build a new PC, but they are not here yet and probably will come during November.
Sad but true story, so I can't currently access my Linux partition on my PC to finish the BLC 3.0 Closed Beta version for Linux. I'm super sorry, I was really looking forward to offering Linux support early on. If I have the time in the next week or two I might also setup a VM and try to finish the development and testing on this (but to be honest, it will be much slower and more painful progress than testing on a native partition).
If you wish to still buy the Pre-Order bundle, you may do so and access the client when it is made available later this year.
When will Badlion Client 3.0 be available to everyone for free?
The answer is we don't know. It will heavily depend on how the beta goes over the next months. If people want us to change a lot of stuff around with how the UI or features on the client work, it might take more time. If everyone loves Badlion Client 3.0 at the start, then it might come sooner than you think.

Is there a new launcher or download for Badlion Client 3.0?
Yes! We have been super hard at work on making the best experience possible for Minecraft users, and that also includes a new launcher! My web development team & myself have spent many hours improving the UI for the launcher, as well as adding new features to it such as:

Why are you no longer supporting Windows 7/8/8.1 or 32 bit machines?
At this point in time, Windows 7 is legacy software and it was released in 2009. That's over 11 years old. Microsoft has already stopped official support for Windows 7. There are many bug fixes, security updates, performance improvements, and overall stability offered by Windows 10. From what we have seen, 7/10 problems that cannot be easily resolved are caused by people simply using Windows 7. Once they upgrade to Windows 10, suddenly all of their problems disappear.
We want to ensure we offer the best experience to all of our users, and in order to do that we are making the tough decision to discontinue Windows 7 and 32 bit support for Badlion Client. Many of you have already upgraded to Windows 10, and those of you have not need to start doing it soon or you will not be able to use Badlion Client 3.0 when it becomes available.
For Windows 8/8.1 users, the same problems apply to you. We highly recommend updating to Windows 10 as soon as possible to get the best experience possible for yourselves and the Badlion Client as well.

When will it be available for free to the public?
At this time we have no planned official public release date.

Badlion Client 3 will be available for free to the public at a later date when it comes out of beta :)
