Pros: They have a DC location in LA and one in NY. So naturally there could actually be a NA West Coast and an NA East Coast server setup or something instead of NA 1 and NA 2.
Cons: More $, more possible points of failure, downtime for migrations, working with them to establish a good setup for our anti-ddos needs etc.

Not worth it, then everyone loses…especially the people in the middle lol, they would have to proxy to the west or east coast and then back to the server.
I don't have plans to move the server at the moment. There aren't enough reasons currently to do so.
EDIT: Also BetterSprint has like always had problems no matter where we have been. His router or his ISP clearly have some issues. One or the other.

Exactly that would be great. It would be more money, but Badlion makes more money now. Maybe to save some cash, you can cut the soup server and merge it in to pot. The current host is very laggy, and I know it isn't my side this time, because everyone else I know complains about the lag as much as I do, and no to mention I see people scream lag in chat. I think this would be great to balance out NA's ping and to give the Australians and Asians a chance for better MS (NA West Coast). Also, this would even out the player distribution, as NA 1 is always full, and naturally no one wants to go on NA 2, now people will try to connect to the box closest to them, thus freeing up slots and allowing more players to join, and have better ping along with it. It is basically a win win situation for everyone. Also, it could also attract many west coast players from other servers, simply because there are barely any decent servers hosted on the west coast, giving Badlion even MORE income

How about move it more to the south of the U.S.? I know a lot of servers that are hosted in places like Texas, and they have great DDoS protection, I think it would be a good balance, because we have a pretty big number of Central or South American players, just my opinion.Posted on 27 February 2015 - 04:17 PM

No…no there is not any good ddos protection in the middle of the US.If their ddos protection can't handle up to 300 gigabits im not even considering it.
