Alright, hi, I'm Zeynah and I was once banned for telling a player to cut himself himself, I was permanently banned and it took me 4 appeals to get unbanned.The thing is, I told the player to cut himself and it was considered as a death threat, it was in on the day I bought donator + for a month, and I was banned for the whole month because of it.
Another thing is, the player I told to cut himself was a hacker, who got banned 8 days after I did.
I've gotten unbanned and as soon as I got the money, I bought another month of donator+.
Recently, I've seen soo many people get muted for spamming the chat with death threats and jokes, while I said it once and got perma banned for it.
There was even one guy who said "MasterGberry kill yourself" and only got a week mute for that.

How is this fair in any way?
I'm not trying to start a flame war here or disrespect anyone, but I just want an explanation, how is my case different than any others?

Because they have realized that death threats are so common, if the continued banning the player base would be cut in half.

I agree on that, the following isn't the greatest example, but my friend told Archybot to "suck his huge horse dick" and got perma banned on his perma donor account, while this non donator tells MasterGberry (pretty much equal to Archybot) to kill himself and only gets muted?
Pretty unfair, don't you think?

I know that whenever I see a death threat, I mute for it (just to prevent them from spamming the death threats in chat) and then send proof to a mod for a ban. Not sure if applicable to these situations, just my experiencePosted on 28 February 2015 - 10:47 AM
Death threats are now 7day mutesExceptions are made though, like "go drink bleach" or "go cut yourself" i would permban on the spot

Wait, so what you're saying is, if someone tells you to kill yourself, he gets a 7 day mute, but if someone tells you to cut yourself or drink bleach, that's a perma ban?
I don't understand this logic, drinking bleach would most likely kill you, so it's the same as you would tell someone to kill themselves, I don't really see a difference, except that when someone tells you to kill yourself, he doesn't specify on how to do it.

We mute for 7 days for things like 'kys', the reason behind this is that it could be related to in-game things.However, we ban for things like 'go die, jump of a bridge' 'slit your wrists' 'hang yourself', as they are much more serious and I wouldn't see in any way how that is related to something in-game.

Why the hell would you even tell another player over the internet to "cut himself" or "kill himself" do you know how fucked up that is? What if that person actually does it..and you don't know what that person goes through, so telling a player to kill himself isn't what they want to hear. So how about not say fucked up things like that and i disagree with you on the 1-3 day and shit, you are telling someone to end their life because you lost in PvP or they said "you mad or nah" something stupid like that, that should not be tolerated and staff should honestly keep them banned because who the hells needs that in a community.Posted on 28 February 2015 - 03:55 PM
