There are some very unstable versions of Java that are partially functional on BigSur with M1 chips at the moment…but i would definitely not call them stable.

No where near it. If we publish Apple Silicon support before the end 2020 you will be lucky.
Don't expect to buy a computer with very different hardware (which Apple advertised a shit ton) and expect things to work on it right away :)

but how about support for intel devices with big sur? its not a completely new processor so would it come a little earlier or are you planning to only release m1 with big sur or m1 and intel with big sur at the same time?

Intel on Big Sur should work already. I believe the main issues here are some graphics driver problems that hopefully Apple fixes in the next update.

Having the same issue, hope it gets resolved soon!Posted on 10 December 2020 - 11:20 PM
Make a different path instead of Minecraft/app info/badlion blablablaI made a folder called Badlaunch and changed the launch directory to going there.
I tried it without optifine, it worked
I tried it with optifine, it worked
Hope this helps!

Well, this does work, but only once. If you close out the client you'll once again have to duplicate every single texture pack you're gonna use. Judging that when I duplicated it was a solid 11.5 gigabytes, that can't be good for your mac.

It didnt happen to me, as soon as I changed the path it just kept on starting normally. No white screen and no black screen for a few weeks now.
It only turns to white if you fullscreen it.
(I tried fullscreening it and it turned white again)so I had to delete the launch directory and make a new one.
Soo..
P.S. DONT FULSCREEN IT
