First of all, the pop-up is terrible. If you're running from a hacker in vanilla and you quickly try type /report whoever, you get a popup. In that time they could easily crit you out etc. It makes it harder on the player to report since they need to find the time to actually do /report Whoever and then choose which one it was. That means that mods can't tp and watch the accused cheat against the accuser and the accuser doesn't have a chance to beat them at all.Second of all, the cooldowns are ridiculous in my opinion. I'm not 100% sure on how the report system works but if you report a player and it turns out no staff are online, you can't report them again for 30 minutes. I may be wrong and these reports may be saved but afaik, this isn't very helpful. Waiting 5 minutes between reports is, in my opinion, way too long since if I run into two people I think are cheating in a row, what can I do? Is there any chance they could both be reduced?

Mods can't ban mid match. So instead of trying to /report mid match focus on killing the cheater. The likeliness of you reporting mid match and a mod instantly being able to TP is low. So fight the match out, and then /report. As for the timers, I have no input on that, haven't used /report in season 8 yet.Posted on 01 March 2015 - 02:00 AM

I know that mods can't ban mid match but isn't it more beneficial if we could report easily and by some slim chance, a mod can tp and actually watch and maybe catches the accused using something they normally don't in a match they may lose?

The new report system is just awful. I can't paste gyazos and the fact that you can only report someone every 30 minutes is just fucking stupid. They say, if it ain't broke don't fix it, and I think badlion made a mistake.Posted on 01 March 2015 - 02:52 AM
Just tested the new system for the first time. Can't speak for whether the timers are good or not, but the actual way it works is great. No more /report "Stupid fucking mods go die u dont do fucking shit"Posted on 01 March 2015 - 03:42 AM

You can't report the same person twice within 30 minutes and you can only /report once every 5 minutes. If you have gyazos (proof) of someone breaking a rule, then you should report it on the forums. Much better than posting a link, forcing mods to click them to open up your browser, then responding to the report again.

This was the main goal to stop. That and the kids who were hitting up arrow and spamming the same report again and again and again. The back-end has been made prettier too so we can see if a person has been reported multiple times and look into them more closely.
I don't think you guys realize how many reports come in…about 1/3 messages i get are a report when im on potpvp
