In-game chat not working in BLC 3.0?

So, I decided to try out the 3.0 version, but for some reason, the in-game chat isn't showing any messages (I can type in it, but it doesn't show up). Am I doing something wrong or is the chat broken?(edit: oops, forgot to say that im playing on 1.16.4)
(another edit: just tested it on 1.8.9, the chat works normally on it)

There Is no mod called "antispam" In the Moda list where could I find this as I think it might be enabled for me to because my chat disappeared and I'm in 1.16.4 and has happened multiple times in 1.8.9

In the badlion chat settings, turn "use badlion chat" off.
