@MasterGberry One of the biggest issues with this is in a PvP scenario when you fight someone in a grass/sugarcane spot you break the plant and hit the player, due to world guard it completely blocks the hit and cock blocks pots.

This is a different story and we do try to minimize the amount of tall grass and sugar cane etc as a result. Maybe it is something we could look into and allow it to be broken and replaced at the end of each match. We already do this system when it comes to fire blocks.

Not exactly. What happens in vanilla is your first hit is actually blocked by that block when you break it. The second one goes through though. I would like to make it where certain blocks(grass, sugarcane, flowers, etc) break and regen after the match, but this would add more lag.

Why not remove them completely then. Im sure they won't be missed by anyone :P

@MasterGberry I honestly understand that Badlion is a large network now, and can expect things to change from what is was. My main issue with the server recently is all the LAG on NA 1. Everyone is getting it, not just me. It gets to the point where me and my opponent like can't hit each for 5 seconds. NA 2 is still kind of laggy, but not nearly as bad as NA 1. You know there is something wrong when I get better hit detection on EUROPE when I am in the south-central United States. Also, I would like to say the new report system is just, not good. NA is basically so laggy it is unbearable to stand. Also, I would like to point out the new report system just needs to go. The books don't match reasons for which I need to report for. It just needs to go back to the way it was, and maybe extend the cooldown for 2 minutes. The maps for Potion PvP also need to be improved, as stated by several people. But in all honesty I do not care nearly as much about the maps, or the new report system as nearly as much as this horrid lag, which I hope can be fixed, the box is just too laggy.Posted on 02 March 2015 - 12:38 AM
Give me a tracert so I can start ruling out this "lag" because I don't experience this lag at all.Posted on 02 March 2015 - 12:45 AM

And I thought it was you could do as many reports as you want, but you can only report the same person so often. Am I mistaken? And yes, we know we need to add a lot more reasons to the ban/report reasons. We're working on it. The whole reason for this new ban/report system is so mods can moderate easier and spend less time dealing with stuff such as appeals where they admit, etc.

I think it's a report every five minutes and the same person every 30, which seems a bit long to me. I might be wrong since I haven't reported anybody today.

There shouldn't be a limit between players. That's most likely a bug.Posted on 02 March 2015 - 01:20 AM
I have been with badlion for quite a long time, not near as long as panda or sprint but I will admit that the community has changed. But everything will change as time moves forward.. Badlion itself has great staff, hosting and banning system. Yet it is hard to make the server stable when I saw yesterday 3.1k players on badlion.. which is the most ive EVER seen on badlion. It was laggy but its not Badlion's fault. The player base is growing at an unbelievable rate recently and ive seen some great changes and a couple bad one's. The maps are great for some.. As much as I love flat maps or even some flat maps with some terrain, not every uhc or mcsg game you play will be the way you want it. Some of these maps I agree should be removed, but I see GBerry's efforts and Archy's. Burnt also did great work when he was once staff. It is difficult to run a server of 3k when It was just 500 players a few months ago. So yes things have been changing. Some people may not like it, so may like t. But I like the community from the ladders I play. Not sure how you pot pvpers are though.also I typed this fast sorry for grammar errors.

I agree with a lot of people complaining in this thread, but the amount of hackers I face today was unfuckingrealPosted on 02 March 2015 - 02:01 AM

And funny enough since the last time I looked at https://www.badlion.net/punishments yesterday there have been 600 people banned by GCheat and another 400 or so by staff members.
The pattern I have noticed with Badlion is everytime we have a growth spurt it is usually because some new community has found our server. Usually when this happens there is an influx of cheaters that come in from that community thinking they can get away with it as they do over wherever they are coming from. A week or two later a large portion of these cheaters are usually banned and the # of bans slow down again. I've seen this pattern many times and I am now calling it the "Cheater Ripple Effect".

Always expect cheaters when the season changes, it's always been like this. If the past repeats itself this is a common time for regulars to go rogue and try out clients too.
