Worst Badlion Season I've ever seen

This is fucking embarrassing. I've played on this server for two years and I have never seen badlion this shitty. The community is literally all 11 year old children spamming about hacks and other servers. I've faced tons of hackers and campers and the new report system is TRASH. You can only report someone once every 30 minutes?What the fuck is that shit. I can't paste gyazos in reports either and the popup bar gets you killed in combat. The mods just don't seem to fucking care, and one trial told me he can't do anything about hackers and to just wait for gcheat to get them. Yes gcheat bans some hackers but there's still a shit ton. The current host is extremely laggy, making it hard to maintain a combo or even splash my pots. Some of the maps are ridiculously bad, like past the point of realistic situations and more like are they trying to make us mad? Adding fire aspect to kohi makes camping easy because you can just run off the fire res. Camping is a MAJOR ISSUE and the fact that half the staff team doesn't respond to pms is stupid as hell. News flash, there's 3000 fucking people on, maybe you shouldn't be playing ranked with your friends. Also the new hub looks very unprofessional.im fed up and this is my rant
P.s. why is the mcteams faggot matto famous? He doesn't even have a single video on his channel

Yeah I agree with you with a lot of things such as:Shitty maps
There's one map w/ plants and shit everywhere, you can't even hit your opponent because that shit gets in your way .-.
Lobby
It's way too jam-packed in, it uses stupid blocks like gold and yellow wool, to be honest it's better than what I could do but from the last lobby we all know the builders can do better.
Staff
I report people w/ a constant, this season and last (only times I've played) and literally none of them ever get banned. It makes me sad that this happens because when I get elo bombed by some huzuni using bitch it makes me cringe.

Although I hate to say it, everything you said in this post is true. Most of the stuff you said in this post have gotten very bad, to say the least. I have been playing Badlion as long as you have panda, and I have to say even though the server's population has grown, Badlion has honestly seen better days in my opinion.@redpanda99

Maps are shit, agreed. Hub is a flower which doesn't seem like Badlion to me. You were staff you already know trials can't ban and they just have to record. News flash, there is 3000 people on, and not all staff members own alts to play on. Mods deserve to play, and I can say that ginie actively fires the inactive staff so they are obviously doing their job. We can lower the cooldown on report. The problem is it is being spammed way too much falsely, we are planning on implementing a "accuracy rate" into it, this is the middle-man stage.
The trial mod did his job properly. You as a past staff-member know that trial mods do not have permission to /ban. That has not changed. Maybe we need to revisit the camping topic and introduce a 1 to 3 day ban for it rather than kicking to crack down on it more so.
Criticizing the hub is silly. Proves my next point.
Anyways it sounds mostly in this post like you are frustrated with the fact that the community is changing, not the actual server itself. I suggest rather than complaining about Badlion you consider whether you want to still be playing this game. You are a bit older (I know this), maybe you just are ready to move onto other games at this point. Its either you are a role model in some way shape or form at your age or you just get irritated by the younger players (not saying there is anything wrong with them, they have as much right to play here as you do).

"Shitty maps." Please go play some UHC and come back and talk to me when you get fucked by terrain. The fact that you know the terrain in advanced is a huge bonus/plus for you on the practice pvp server. We do plan on allowing for map submissions soon though, gotta figure out how we want to do this.
I don't see the issue with the lobby. Why make something huge and open when it doesn't matter anyways? Just need something that looks nice and allows you to join servers.
We actually have improved the /report system and people with duplicate reports get flagged as a higher priority to investigate. Once again staff members are volunteers, not paid. If you think you can do a better job you should apply for staff. I guarantee the job is much harder than it looks. It's a hell of a lot easier to moderate a 100 man server than an 800 man server.

The /report timer is there for it's reasons as described above.
The host is something we are investigating. It's not like we just get up and move hosts. The funny thing is I actually monitor what the other networks do pretty closely. It seems like people just shift around in a circle and there isn't one host that is the best. Every single one has its pros and its cons.
I see nothing wrong with the new hub. For those of us who have been around long enough it's actually a slight flash back to the 3rd pvp lobby. Most people were not here for this though.

You might want to investigate what I said in the post above with Redpanda. People hate change, people are nostalgic about the past. Badlion in my personal opinion is better than ever in pretty much every single aspect possible. The only things that have changed in any serious relationship to it's "old times" is 1. its a lot bigger, 2. the maps changed back in season 7, 3. the host changed (once again back in season 7).
There are more and more features added everyday that I can only imagine that you guys would have dropped jaws about a good 12 months ago. Rather than focus on all of the amazing things that we have that no one else has you focus on the little silly things that really don't make or break the server. I simply feel that you and some of the other old timers might be spoiled in some sense of what you guys used to have with the individual attention and being "known" players. The reality is now in some sense or form you are indeed a number mixed between all of the other players. Do you have some sense of "place" here compared to others? Yes because you have been here since almost the beginning. Do you have me on Skype and are able to talk freely with me? Yes. Are there another 500k+ other players on the server who have the same rights as you do? Yes. If someone needs or is seeking real life advice and wants to talk to me will I always help? Yes. It is up to that person to come to me and feel comfortable or not asking me for advice, coming out as gay, talking about depression, trying to understand why their family has so many problems, and many other things that I have talked about with people on our staff team or in our community privately. I will never turn my back on someone who is looking for help and is willing to take and listen to advice.
We hire any mod who feel is capable to help staff the server better and better. Compared to other networks I would say we are still very much so further ahead in terms of staffing. Comparing us to http://www.mineplex.com/staff and http://www.minecraftsurvivalgames.com/XenStaff/ (off the top of my head) we are just as staff in terms of # of mods per players if not more. Not to mention we have GCheat aiding along with the moderation (something no one else has). I think I read on MCSG (who is supposed to be a larger network than us) they banned 200-400 people in a month on their EU servers? That is a fucking joke lol, GCheat bans that in a single day. The staff bans thousands of people per month cheating.

Same reasons as above. You consider the maps shit because you cannot block hit in a straight line going forward. This is not how PvP is in any real situation. Adapt to your environment.
Who the fuck cares about flowers and Badlion? All of our spawns are filled with flowers and happiness. Better than joining a server where everything is depressing and antagonizing…like seriously?

Nothing wrong with trying to innovate and do something new. We actually have plans to make chat across all lobbies in the near future. This new system is our first step. We want to also add other perks that "large networks" give in lobbies such as particles/pets etc. We are bouncing ideas back and forth but ultimately we try to make what people suggest.

The reality of it is none of us do this full time. If this keeps growing and growing it might be something I need to look into because I might simply not be able to provide as much as possible for the network without working on it full time. At the moment this is not the case though and I would not like to put my career on hold until this proves to be something that will make itself into a career for me (have plans already for things after Badlion Network).

I would also like to state that there are actually some really cool community driven features we are about to add this week. I suggest you stick around for them and see what they introduce. One of the things that kept me attached to Age of Empires so long was a few select friends that I played the game with. I didn't care about the majority of the people on the game, but I had my group of friends who I talked to on a regular basis and enjoyed the game with.I also suggest you wait until the new Factions server is released. Faction servers are literally what makes communities/rivalries/more communication. This is definitely something we are lacking at the moment and are actively trying to solve.
