Hosting a UHC Observation

It has happened a lot of times that I would join a UHC to play and there was only a host or 1-2 mods to spectate and watch 200+ players to play. I've also been in a game with around 100+ players and there was only a host taking care of the whole hosted round.I think this should be changed and it should be organized in a way so whenever a UHC is hosted, there should always be at least 5-8 mods and a host. As I said, since there were times that I would join a UHC and there was only a host taking care of 100+ players, the host would often complain how he's alone on so many people and that he can't do everything so quick and by himself. I've also been a victim of iPvP-ing or "Killing before PvP was enabled" and I messaged a host about it but when he got around to tp'ing to me, I was already dead.
My complaint/observation here isn't to complain about a certain UHC host/mod, it's about when you host UHC's, you make sure there are a certain amount of mods who can help you moderate. Honestly, since these big UHC's now have 300 or even more players, I think there should be at least 8-10 mods who would take care of the server and players.
I would rather play rarely but fairly then commonly and unfairly which means that I would much rather enjoy if there were less UHC hosted but they would be hosted with a proper amount of staff members rather than UHC's being hosted more often with few staff members being online to moderate.
That's my observation that I got after playing quite a few badlion UHC's.

We don't really need that many mods as we have in-game help alerting us if a player is doing something in a certain situation. I'd say 1 host and 1-3 mods on. The way it is atm is fine. Unless there is a trainee and you'd need at bit more mods on.Posted on 03 March 2015 - 08:35 PM
I'm not only talking about players using hacked clients to have a greater advantage on an unfair way. I'm talking about things that your coded plugin, I think its name is GCheat, can't tell and that is; if the players are teaming in solo, if one is iPvP-ing the other, if one is xraying since you can only see xray by following the player while he mines. I don't think 2-3 mods can do all that on such a vast amount of players.Posted on 03 March 2015 - 10:43 PM
As I do agree that there are some times where we should have more mods/hosts in game, that doesn't mean its a bad or good thing we have 1-2 mods in a game. Let me play doubles advocate, honestly we would have a hard time assigning anymore than 5 mods that are active in game, but if you look on your Staff page. We are working on growing our staff. While also trying to double or even triple games in one time span. You are correct where we would catch more hacked clients and more answered questions. But picture 8 mods answering the same question while keeping in mind that each host/mod has their own specific rules such as Portal Camping, Final Feeds/Heals, Teleportaion times, etc. My main point is you are correct and there are times where it would be nice. But it might be a overkill and I could only imagine so much miss-communication between staff. <3
