"Advanced SG"?
Recently in Pot PvP, UHC got a second, slightly different ladder pop up alongside it called Advanced UHC. As an SG player, I can't help but wonder if we could eventually get another ladder like MCSG under a similar concept.

There are two main MCSG ladders I'd like to see: An "early game" fighting type ladder and a "late game" one. Right now the current one feels like a bit of both. With strong armor, a golden apple and flint'n'steel usage being encouraged, but few arrows.

Just an idea for how it could look:

MCSG ladder: Stays mostly the same, give players 12-16ish arrows though? Just a thought.

"Advanced SG" ladder: For armor and sword, try to find a good balance that does slightly more damage in melee than in MCSG and significantly more with a bow. 3 or 4 arrows, NO golden apple. NO flint and steel. Best food should be bread, so players won't be able to regen very much at a time. And of course, it wouldn't be SG without a fishing rod.

What is this ladder adding though? On one hand, this is a good simulation of what SG is like in the very early game if you didn't get a lot from the corn. On the other, it truthfully lacks the ability to run away, but such a thing is simply impossible to simulate in 1v1's. This ladder will be very unique in the respect that fights are quick and there is absolutely no room for mistakes. A single missed arrow is a third of your supply depleted, a single combo means certain doom for the combo'd player with high damage dealt, and attempts at running to regen are usually futile, as your hunger depletes quickly from trying to regen and you lack saturated food. This ladder as such will heavily encourage careful usage of the fishing rod to initiate a fight, as you do not have a lot of health to play around with in initiating combos.

As of right now, this is a ladder I feel Badlion lacks: A true "One shot. One chance" ladder where coming back from a bad exchange is almost impossible. The fishing rod, to me, feels the perfect fit in such a ladder, as it's main purpose is to initiate combos without ever risking damage, and in this ladder, health is of importance in an entirely new way, different from UHC.

Keep the old ladder the same, considering you can kill someone with just 8 arrows and fire. (even when they gap)

but I really love the idea of the ladder. It'd be fun. It'd be interesting to see how people would play without their fns and gapples

We could look into something like this. I wish it was suggested BEFORE the season started -_-

Sorry, didn't think of it until now. The advanced UHC ladder gave me the idea in a way.

Oh well, there is always next season.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but there are so many great ideas that were suggested that sadly weren't implemented into the new season ):
