Hey everyone, the Badlion Client Tester team is expanding once again and we are currently seeking applications from those interested.
About the role:
As a tester, your role is to assist our development team in finding, reproducing and reporting any bugs or crashes you may find on the Badlion Client prior to it being released to Insiders and then the public. If you are interested in helping us provide the best experience possible at launch for our users, the tester position is a great opportunity to do just that!
A typical day in the life of a tester looks like this:
- Log onto the Discord server
- See if there is any new builds available to be tested
- Try and break new features and see which versions it impacts.
- Report any bugs or crashes to the lead Tester (ginie1/ScrubV2) or the developers depending on urgency.
- Do all this again the next day!
It is important to note that testers are not there just to see if new versions and features are working, but try whatever they can think of to try and break it. Breaking it during development is much better than having it break when available to the thousands of daily users we have.
Requirements:
- You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you will need your parents consent in order to become a tester.
- Able to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) [Again if under 18, your parents to co-sign with you].
- Discord software to communicate with the team.
- A mindset of someone who likes to break things
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
