I think that the anti-cheat is well on its way to being accurate enough to publish to the world and have a global ban list for minecraft. Minecraft is in dire need of an anti-cheat because of all the hackers running around. Personally, I fully trusted it after Stimpay's ban. But its sad to see Stimpay running around on other servers, using what appears to be clickaim, then circlejerking about how good he is. The worst kind of person in the world right now are the cheaters who cheat to make themselves look good, and in Stimpay's case, make money off of it.Posted on 05 March 2015 - 08:43 AM
LOL no, they're probably selling it for like 20k lmfao. Imo, it still needs some work.Posted on 05 March 2015 - 11:18 AM
I dont think GCheat would be released to the public, if it were people would study it and try to find ways to bypass it. Releasing how GCheat works is suicidePosted on 05 March 2015 - 01:39 PM

Doesn't everyone know how GCheat works anyways. It detects if you're maintaining the same clicking speed.

yep, because we all know it's impossible to press a mouse while having 7CPS on an autoclicker!1!1!
we also know that killaura gives us INSTANT 20CPS nothing else

If we released it it would just turn into another NoCheat in a few months, very ineffective. Also, if we release it it'll make hacks even harder to detect in the future for all servers in existence.Posted on 06 March 2015 - 06:42 AM
Ultimately an anti-cheat's goal is to stop illegitimate clients from doing illegal actions. The reality of the situation is that forms of cheating like autoclicking and forcefield/kill aura aren't completely preventable like godmode hacks tend to be. The reason such forms of cheating are still so easily possible is in part because the most popular anti-cheats are publicly available and commonly used, and as such, can and will be studied by anybody, including those who develop the cheating clients in question. The only truly effective anti-cheat server modification is one that cannot be properly studied by those trying to break the system.Farthermore, if all the good servers used the same anti-cheat system, then once it has been broken, it has been broken everywhere. As it stands, if a developer for a hacking client wants to break through the anti-cheat of big servers, they are much more likely to prey on the more common forms of anti-cheat than that one guy who's got his own, because that way, it's not such a server specific client. In this way of thought, not distributing the anti-cheat to anyone heavily discourages attempts at bypassing it in the first place.
The only way distribution would ever happen is if it were a near perfect anti-cheat that stopped nearly everything perfectly…AND it could be implemented to other major networks without any risk of leaking. Such a thing is simply out of the grasp of any current anti-cheat, and given the way the game works, I highly doubt such a system is implementable in the foreseeable future.

I don't think it should be released to the public imo
