The bell will max out at 5 notifications, but each time you click one it will stay at 5 until you have less then 5. I'm well aware of how the system works as I use to have 4 million tags a day. Then some of the staff thought it would be funny to tag me in areas I couldn't read, yeah as an admin there was places on the forums I couldn't read.
