Resource pack not working?

I am trying to get a hypixel skyblock resource pack to work but it doesn't load and it works when I use the minecraft launcher to play please help?The resource packs are V2ZachplaysAN resource pack and ThirtyVirus V2 resource pack both for 1.8.9

Make sure you are on the correct version, you may possibly have to update or restart your game. If that doesn't work when you apply it, what does it do?
