The title basically says it. From the second I click open in the start menu till the launcher opens, at least a minute passes. From when I click launch till the game opens, another 30 seconds pass.

To answer your question, this issue has been going on for about 3 months.

Thank you very much for the reply, but as I followed your steps, another problem arose.

I reinstalled Badlion and went through all the steps in the first part of your post, but when I opened it again and configed all of my settings (for ex. setting the ram limit higher) and went to start Minecraft in 1.8.9, I got this message:
I checked the versions available and saw this message when I clicked on the little downward arrow next to the current version number: "No options".

I tried this with BLC 3 on and off and wasn't able to solve this problem.

I won't try the second step you recommended (deleting options.txt) because that isn't my main concern right now.
