Well recently, I have been getting bored of badlion.. It's not the community or ladders or anything in that general area. Recently the lag has been really bad on Badlion, I understand the player growth has went up a LOT and I get it. This server has great mods/admins/uhc hosts and ect.. But the lag has been making it terrible to play on, I have the same ping and everything else, but the server is always laggy, And also the TPS is always *20.00 when it's literally so laggy.. I am not sure if this is server side lag, or myself.. But it's not just me, it's all my friends on the server and a ton of people in chat. I hate to complain about this kind of stuff but what the heck has been going on? it's making me not want to play badlion anymore and now I don't have the balls to join a damn ladders since I am afraid of losing to freezing.Sorry if this post makes you guys mad, just had to really let out what's been happening. And another thing, there are a few other posts about the lag and it's always either the person themselves lagging, or the server bungees. I hope the server can fix this, and if not oh well.

I know right, I have been complaining for days when G Berry says most people say they don't lag when I always see the whole chat spam with lag, but don't get me wrong, g berry is the best owner ever, just you got to fix the lagPosted on 08 March 2015 - 10:02 PM

I don't mean to badmouth the server or get in any trouble with the staff but the higher-up staff members seem to just refuse to believe that the server is lagging. I know Gberry restarted the bungees, and he believes that it fixed the problem but it really did nothing at all, it's the same as usual. When so many people are talking about it, it's obvious that there's a problem. I live in the northeast and experience tremendous lag whenever I play, regardless of the player count.Honestly, the server is bringing in lots of players but they won't be able to keep them with the lag the server has been going through. It's been like this for at least two months if not longer, and everyone is well aware of it. I am baffled by how no action has been taken yet.

Seriously tired of the bitching here people. If it was an easy fucking problem to fix don't you think it would be fixed? We have the most advanced anti-cheat in existence, amazing tab lists, fucking ridiculously optimized server code that can support 800 player pvp servers and 300-400 player UHC's, and yet you think fixing lag is an easy thing to do?

The higher staff has yet to witness this lag at all in first person, and we have people on both coasts, midwest, and in europe. In all the videos that have been sent to me of this lag, I've yet to see chat explode with messages of "lag" when these recorders experience a lag spike. Needless to say we will change a few things on potion to attempt to fix this "lag" that supposedly existsDid some queries, in the last 12 hours, about 1.3% of players had a message that contains 'lag' (this query would pick up something like 'flag', and a LOT of these messages are from UHC where it DOES lag sometimes in the first few minutes) . I'm guessing about 25% of that is false log grabs ('flag' for example), so a little under 1% of players have so much as said 'lag', and everyone knows most of those players are just blaming their loss on something. I'm willing to guess about 0.1% of the complaints of lag are actually lag, and it's when GCheat freaks out every 1-2 hours or so for about 1 second.

Well, a lot of the high up / well known players are the ones noticing the lag. A lot of these players decide not to play badlion because of the lag. Almost all of my faction agrees that badlion has been really laggy lately, along with my mcsg clan.
Most good players don't really say "lag" in public chat.. & those are the people noticing it :/

I'm not getting consistent lag. It's more that my ping and my lag-free times are inconsistent. Like every few hours I get a ping spike for an hour or so, or my hit detection just gets awful and I have potlag even with good ping.Posted on 09 March 2015 - 01:21 AM

In terms of context related to online games, it means something like this
"lag is when massive amounts of packet loss occurs"
e.g. lag is when people literally freeze up
Is this actually what is happening? Because I have YET to see it (except for at the beginning of the week)
