low fps with huge lagspikes in hypixel
Last edited on 17 April 2021 - 11:23 AM by MauriceM
For some reason I have very low fps in the hypixel lobby and every time my game loads another chunk I get a lag spike that freezes my game for about 1 to 2 seconds. My hardware is not the problem. I have an 8700 clocked at 4.3 Ghz, an rx580 (yeah i know the configuration is really stupid, i didn't know what i was doing back then) and 32 Gb of ram. Also for some reason Minecraft only takes up 13% of my gpu load. I only have fps issues in Minecraft. Every other game runs fine with max Settings.
Also somehow when i turn down my graphics settings ingame to fast my fps sometimes drop even lower.
Maybe Im just dumb and missing a really obvious thing. If someone has a guess on how to solve this problem id appreciate it

Hypixel is extremely buggy rn so have you tried any other servers?Posted on 19 April 2021 - 11:43 AM
Hi, does it help if you turn the render distance to max, wait a few seconds, then back to default?Last edited on 20 April 2021 - 06:48 AM by RJTech
Hello,For that issue, I would recommend turning your render distance down as much as you can (video settings > render distance). You can also try the following which may improve your FPS:
-Make sure to close all background applications, e.g discord, browsers etc.
-Update your graphic drivers/update all of your drivers in general
-Check your minecraft vanilla settings, set your render distance on the lowest possible and set your graphics to fast, smooth lightning off, anisotropic filtering off, anti-aliasing off, tall grass rendering off,
-Make sure you are using the badlion implemented optifine mod.
-Use a low-end texturepack, e.g 16x texturepacks
Additional Badlion settings:
1) Enable "Low Graphics Mode".
2) Disable all cosmetics, emotes and HD skins.
3) Enable “FPS Boost”.
4) Disable cape particles
5) Allocate at least 2048mb of dedicated ram as it's the recommended amount.
If you are still having FPS issues and use 3.0 please reference this article: https://support.badlion.net/hc/en-us/articles/360018512459
