no optifine cape?
Hey,
I have a problem. I have turned on optifine in the client, and I have in my minecraft settings cape on on and I still dont see it.
I dont have this problem in 1.8.9, only in 1.17.1 and 1.17 i think, in all other versions I see my cape.
I hope someone can help me

and sorry if my englisch is bad, im german

Kind regards

Do you have a migrator cape? if so it might be overwriting your optifine cape, you can turn it off using the minecraft site or launcher

hm weird. Acording to badlion (https://support.badlion.net/hc/en-us/articles/360014472599-Optifine) there is no optifine version for 1.17, so not having a cape in 1.17 is correct. but not having a cape in 1.17.1 is weird

okay so I did some testing, when booting badlion 1.17.1, I didn't have my optifine cape either. I checked the optifine change logs and there was nothing that said capes should work or not. I was curious if it was an badlion or optifine issue so I downloaded the same optifine version that badlion is using (see the link), and to my suprise i was not able to install said version (it said it had no acces to the .minecraft folder).

After that I tried the newest version(badlion uses second newest) and I was able to install this one. when booted the optifine cape was working. So my gues is that the optifine version badlion uses is a bit broken, and they should update to the newest version.

Another update, me not being able to install the optifine version badlion is using, was me just having a small brain moment. tested it on the version badlion uses. I have my cape in that version as well.

So probably a bug from blc
