Is there a mod so that you could have 1.12 crop hitboxes on 1.8.9? There is a hitbox mod but i dont think it works on crops

I believe the setting called "Accurate Block Models" in the Block Overlay mod should do this for you. If not reply to this and we can investigate further.

Also to clarify was the issue it not being on 1.8 or 1.18? The title and thread do not line up.
