I decided to try out the map of Crystal Hollow's and didn't really like it, so I turned it off but for some reason it still shows on my screen even outside of Skyblock and in a single player world. I logged off and back on but it's still there. Is there any other way to get rid of it because it's very annoying.

I have the same problem.
Till now the only option i have is to log off and reboot Badlion CLient.

Using BLC 3.8
MC V 1.8.9
