A lot of the players are constantly messaging us mods, "TP NOW HACKER!", or something of that context, and then when we dont ban the player instantly, they reply with, "WOW THANKS FOR NOT DOING ANYTHING I JUST LOST <HIGH AMOUNT OF ELO>! Do your job!"Let me just say a few things.
1. Messaging the mods is the worst way to report a hacker. /report is there for a reason. Use it.
2. We aren't going to ban that player even if they are hacking because mods aren't supposed to ban in ranked matches, because if they're wrong, they get their job taken away.
3. Thirdly, there is a lot more to a mod's job than just waiting for people to /report someone or /msg you that someone is hacking. We are usually doing our job when we are logged in.
4. Mods are players as well. We are allowed to enjoy the game just like everyone else.

Is there anyway to actually flag in what player has been reported so much, even if you're a GOD you don't get /reported for hacks every fight, so I think if you get like, so many reports in a short period of time you'd get instantly banned, or reported to the higher-ups when they log on.Posted on 20 March 2015 - 03:11 AM

This would be extremely inaccurate. Just because you get reported doesnt mean you are hacking. There would be no evidence to back it up if they were to get banned because nobody saw it and chances are, if they are getting reported, GCheat isnt catching them.
The report system already flags how many times people get reported

Honestly if you feel your report isn't going anywhere, just PM the mod directly, keep it out of global chat.Posted on 20 March 2015 - 03:30 AM

I usually do that, but they never respond and always tell me to /report and I'm like, what? I just reported the BLATANT HACKER 8 times man.
I know GBerry or Archy will come here and say some shit, but I feel like moderators and other staff don't even look at reports. I get it, there's a lot of reports, but when there's like 10 mods on, if one can handle most, then I think 10 can handle all, even if like 5 are just playing.

Maybe we do look at the reports. Everyone thinks their opponent is hacking just because they get beat. Maybe if the person you report doesnt get banned, they aren't hacking at all.
If you believe he is blatantly hacking and mods dont see it, make a report on the forums.

It's an awkward situation because there are just too many players for mods to keep up. The most important thing is just not to act like a jerk. Insulting someone is a terrible way to get them to help you.Posted on 20 March 2015 - 04:24 AM
Well if a hacker is really bothering someone and they don't think ./report is effective they should record it and report them on the forums >-<
