If you can figure out how to make the speed of light faster you can improve your ping. If not your VPN's are a joke.

I am not very knowledgeable about this, but why can I, as a US central player, improve my connection to EU servers using things like Battleping and WTFast?

Another interesting thing to add to this is that East Coast people like me (North Carolina) are experiencing bad latency problems. For example, my friend lives in Iowa and gets gets 38ms to badlion, and I get 78ms to badlion. This is odd because we both live at pretty much the same distance to the Canadian server. It seems that the way America and Canada rout their lines is all f*cked up because I get 30ms to a New York server, and 80ms to a server not very far from new york, just because it's in Canada? All I know is if you move the server to anywhere on the east coast (Pennsylvanian, New York) (both states have some nice data centers) People who live on the east coast/central region will get the same 20-40ms. Hopefully the switch to a new data center will resolve most of the latency and packet handling issues most people are dealing with.Posted on 21 March 2015 - 07:41 PM
I'm from SOUTHERN west coast, so maybe the routing issues is mostly from the south part of the countryLike uh, I have a friend in Victoria, Canada, who hardly gets lag to badlion, even though he lives across the country from the host
I live in los angeles, so we are basically the same distance away from the host, but the lag I get is really bad
Similar is that people from texas seem to lag really bad, but a friend from Salt Lake seems to lag less, idek

Even if they move to the east coast of America, you'll still get a 100-130ms. Ping is not how good your connection is to badlion, but the amount of time it takes for that packet to reach the server, back to your house. The higher ping you have, the longer the fiber/cable lines are to the server. Like Masta' G said, you can't change the speed of light (maybe in absolute 0 temperatures) but certainly not in our present universe lol.Posted on 21 March 2015 - 07:53 PM

I'm very aware of that
My friend from victoria gets 90 ping and i get 100
That should hardly be a difference, but I feel like 500 ping not 100, plus with people tping around and freezing
I think you misunderstood me <_<
I'm very aware i won't be getting under 100 ping

Oh, and what you are talking about every one is experiencing, even people with good ping. It seems OVH is having packet handling problems which is causing the weird player lag. Moving the server should fix this. I'm excited for my 30 ping, hopefully badlion doesn't try a new Canadian host.Posted on 21 March 2015 - 08:19 PM
I Might Be Dumb And Its In The Message And I Dont See It, But Where Are The NA Servers Being Moved To? All I Got Out Of This Is That There Being Moved Closer To East Coast/Central US,(Or Maybe Farther Away? I Said I Might Be Really Dumb.) I Currently Have 30ms Ping To Badlion's NA Servers And I Want To Make Sure That Dosnt Become Something Near 100ms-Edit I Heard Right Now There Being Hosted In Either Montreal Or Toronto Or Some Other Part Of Canada, And That Doesn't Seem Like The Middle Of North America.

Also I Really Only Noticed The Player Lag On NA1 Pot PvP And Soup PvP. Maybe It Has Something To Do With The Amount Of Players On At Once, Because The Few Times NA2 PotPvP had 400+ Players That Happened Too.Posted on 21 March 2015 - 08:27 PM
I Live In NY And Get 30ms Ping, Thought You Said East Coast Was Having Problems. I Never Really Experienced Any Player Lag Except For When NA1 Pot PvP Had 700+ Players. Also Where Are The Servers Being Moved To? Im Dumb And I Didnt See It In TherePosted on 21 March 2015 - 08:27 PM
Great to hear :) Badlion staff truly cares about all of its valuable playersPosted on 21 March 2015 - 08:28 PM
