Hi. Badlion has a Name Tags function, and so, on 1.12.2, with the Badlion Font turned on, and pressing the shift, the nickname does not disappear, that is, you can safely see it through the walls. Is this how it should be? There is no such thing in 1.8.9. I don't know about other versions, I don't use them.

I'm sorry if there is a similar thread.

To properly investigate the issue that you're currently facing we need more info and your logs. Can you please submit a bug report from the bottom of the launcher? We will ensure to look into the issue there, with more information and logs.
