chat bug

I have started a survival server with a couple of friends and with the badlion client on 1.9.3 I was unable to chat in the chat as it would give me a messaage saying "Chat disabled due to missing profile public key". I went on reddit and found a solution, by going on to server.properties and set enforce-secure-profile to false, it then worked, however, now I unable to see any messages from my friends in the chat, but they are able to see mine. any solutions?nvm solved
