This is just a suggestion, the host should turn the whitelist off 5 mins before the time it is supposed start, for example whitelist off at 1:55pm for a 2:00pm game. This will also give slightly more time for non donors to join along with a start of when it is actually supposed. Currently non donors,at max, may only have around a minute to join which is eh. Recently I tried to join the game on exact 2pm UTC (Time supposed to start) but it didn't allow me too, I tried a second time, around 30 seconds later, it still said "you are not whitelisted" and by the third time around 2:01 it said that the game is full. I was using time.is and am pretty sure i was just very unlucky. So if it is 5 minutes earlier, non donors at least have a good chance of getting in and also not completely taking away donor perks since it still gives them an advantage in joining.

There wouldn't be any difference in people getting in. It would still fill instantly.

You didn't get in probably because it was a traniee host ( badmin) that don't know how to open in time.
dw most of the hosts open with time.is.

9/10 of us hosts use a specific to the milisecond time clock, a more favourable one is http://time.is/ (Timezone).
And changing the whole whitelist off system wouldn't be the best of ideas, people are reluctant to change they dislike it amongst UHC and they certainly will disagree with how the whitelist system currently works.

And you ask of this to have a better chance of getting in, however if it was to be changed to this it would still be the same, the same amount of donors would be on the server before that whitelist off time. The system in my opinion doesn't need to be changed as it would cause further confusion for the players, in future make sure to use a specific clock and have it open along side you being ready to join the correct UHC server and you should be all good to go.
