Resolution stuck and full screen not working
Posted on 04 October 2024 - 05:43 PM
So i've had an issue where in the launcher the resolution is set to 1280x480 and if i click and change it, it still launches in 1280x480. The other problem is that i cannot enter borderless full screen, I've tried pressing F11 as well as doing it manually in the settings page. Im assuming these two problems are connected. (I am on Mac).Posted on 05 October 2024 - 06:32 PM
Hey try the following steps:Reset Display Settings:
-Open Badlion Client Launcher.
-Go to the Settings tab in the launcher.
-Manually set your desired resolution (e.g., 1920x1080) again.
-Click Save and then try launching the client. If it still launches at 1280x480, follow the next step.
Check Config Files:
-Close the Badlion Client completely.
-Navigate to the Minecraft Config folder on your Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft.
-Look for the options.txt file and open it with a text editor.
-Find the lines related to screen resolution (look for something like guiscale or screenresolution) and manually set your resolution to something higher, like 1920x1080.
-Save the file and launch the client again.
Now, let’s address the borderless fullscreen issue. Pressing F11 and manually selecting fullscreen not working could also be related to resolution or a fullscreen bug in macOS.
Ensure macOS is Allowing Fullscreen:
-Open System Preferences on your Mac and go to Displays.
-Check that your display settings are correct, and ensure that fullscreen mode is enabled for apps.
-Make sure Badlion isn’t restricted by any macOS window management settings like Mission Control.
-Use Fullscreen Mode via Config File:
-Go back to the options.txt file in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft.
-Look for an option called fullscreen, and set it to true. This should force Minecraft to launch in fullscreen mode.
-Save the file and relaunch the client.
Hope this helps.
