Badlion is also competitive server.Without the ping there is no way to play it competitive.
There is no fun when the hits are not registering.
I can tell that if NA players would play on EU/AU everyday for competitive against good players.
They would get stressed as well.

I would personally would like it to be hosted in Japan.Because the Japan security is really high but its expensive so probably not going to happen.
But anywhere in Asia is fine.

I completely agree with ShinyCrafters on that… I'm Asian, and I really want to play Badlion in good ping - I was banned a few months ago because of Autoclicker, (it was a macro that I configured on the Razer synapse driver, but the mouse broke and now I'm using a SteelSeries which somehow bugs the side buttons out, so don't worry) and that was an effort of mine to close the gap between my 3 or 4 bars and the other 5 bar players. Every time, I get killed (wrecked, to be precise) because my hits don't register or I couldn't land any shots. That is also material for them to abuse us on, as I am often told that I suck at bow, or if the player know that I have bad ping, they tell me that I live in a 3rd world country and I'm not financially stable, (which does not apply for me and most people in our country, Japan) which can be very annoying.All we really need is like a 50-men server; it can be like a 2 month test, to try to see how many people actually join. I'm really tired of how I always get 4 bars or less on 95% of the good servers in the world, and using a MacBook Pro, I can't download WTFast or have a decent FPS range.
And by the way, Asia is indeed the most populated place, but most people are Chinese, and most of them are not financially stable enough to play Minecraft. But, in Japan, 10 or more friends in every single school I went to (I've been in 3) play Minecraft, and want to play on better servers than the crappy extreme low-budget Japanese servers. There ya go, 3 schools, 1 region, and 30 people already. Which leads me on to my second point, you should locate them in/near Japan, Minecraft is really popular here (mostly because of Japanese youtubers like Hikakin playing it) and most players do understand basic English, by the way. SCREW JAPANESE STEREOTYPES!
