I guess it isn't a priority right now unless we can prove to the owners the Asian player base is big enough for its own server. I get 280ms to every server and I understand how you feel, but once you get used to it, it's playable, and sometimes the latency can be an advantage in melee combat :-)Posted on 05 April 2015 - 11:59 PM
I have been playing in this bad connection for 2 years.WHen I try to melee a person.
They would just bow spam me.
and thats how I always die in UHC.
UHC is a bow game.
With this connection its impossible to go against a good player with good ping that will bow spam you to death.

When your connection is to the point where you can't use a bow, strafing the other person's laggy arrows is just as hard <_<

I can clearly see you will be x2 more better player if you had the ping.EU players are less skillful then AU players so it may be little more easier but 120ms is tough against a really good players.
But 100ms is really really goood. 130+ is when it gets hell bad.

So I played a few games of crappy Japanese servers and now I became even more sad. There were a lot of players saying, I wish there was more Soup PvP servers, Potion PvP servers and even "Why is there not even a single good 1vs1 servers"
Also remember, there is 200+ players of Japan.

We really don't have enough players to justify an asian badlion server. Not to mention the biggest issue is always DDOS protection.Posted on 06 April 2015 - 07:00 PM
@MasterGberry just threaten them :P. Make a post, even if you're bluffing, about the consequences of ddosing badlion.Posted on 06 April 2015 - 08:48 PM

Ofir +1. I live in Azerbaijan(west Asia). I am getting 120 ms to eu and 300 to Au.look at my stats. at least by the time I wrote this I was #17 in GLOBAL (1860).
Also I'm 2001 in diamond ocn. Of course I would love to have Asian server close to my country, but what Im trying to say is ping ISNT EVERYTHING. You can use your latency/delay to get awesome combos ;)

You are saying eu players are worse than au?!!?!! WTF ?? Look at top 10 in each ladder lol.Posted on 06 April 2015 - 09:03 PM

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO You got some cute dreams there buddy, you really don't know the good eu players if that what you think… go to bed.

Let's take two great AU players for example, @MetroSausage and @Azpiring, AU.badlion.net doesn't have many people joining, these guys have to play on NA, they get like 300 ping, yet they are very good. Ping doesn't matter at times, they have beaten lots of people with 10-30 ping to NA while they get 300. Hmm…Posted on 06 April 2015 - 10:23 PM
I think anything below 200 ping is alright, I get about 50 ping from Indiana to NA servers now, but with the recent lag issues I have gotten used to 120 ping so I tried EU and I get about 150 - 200 there. It is very playable if you know how to time the latency to your advantage.Posted on 07 April 2015 - 12:06 AM
Its not really fun if you get rod delay and bow delay each time :P.Posted on 07 April 2015 - 12:09 AM
They're not going to make a Asian proxy only because of delay -.-Posted on 07 April 2015 - 12:11 AM
The only reason they make proxies is for numerous reasonsPosted on 07 April 2015 - 08:06 AM
Ivorex you are seriously getting annoying with your mean I only care about my self ideas. You never experienced what we Asians always have to deal everyday.
Ping Delay, lag, not being able to compete against people, the last final hits not registering.
Hits stop register in middle of combos which makes them counter us.
No fair fights. No good ping servers. No Nothing.
If you didn't have NA servers and somebody maybe in like EU tells you that YOU SHOULDN't HAVER YOUR OWN SERVERS HAHAHAH each time.
That will make you mad as well. There is a lot of people in Asia, and I am pretty sure just a little test may prove how it would go, if there was no one joining then ill just admit there is no need to have an Asian server. But we never know. What if there would more people then AU? Who even chose that there were no Asians if they never even had an Asian server.

Why not host the AU Server in Singapore? or Hongkok? Servers like MCSG hosted their AU servers in Singapore. It would also not destroy the ping for AU players, their ping would be below 120 always. Also about their not being enough players, the mcsg AS always had above 90 players on average during evenings in AS.
