Tips for bowing?
Hello everyone!

Badlion is really an awesomely competitive server, and I enjoy seeing all the different play-styles that people use in order to win.
I think for the most part, I've accommodated to those play-styles other than in the bow heavy ladders such as archer/advanced UHC. I don't really dabble in the art of bowing too often, and it's been giving me trouble on badlion. I seem to match up with other high ranked players pretty well, as I've come across a few of them who've said that I am good with a bow. Although this might be the case at times, I really struggle in consistency, meaning I am losing to a lot of low ranked people who seem to be much better than me at the bow.

Was just wondering if a few people can shed some light for me in terms of what kinds of strategies/how they play. Thanks
Note: I am from Fairbanks, AK , so my ping is not the best, and I do get some subtle bow delay

In all seriousness, only advice i can give is don't really strafe in a certain direction while bowing, just shoot and then try to dodge the arrow in mid-air

My strategies:

-Aim for where you think the person is going to land
-If the opponent has a statue strafe (where they barely move) just shoot when they're about to shoot their bow.
-For strafing, I always randomize it and I try to confuse the other player. Example: If you strafe to the left 3 times, the opponent probably thinks you're gonna strafe there again. Thats when you stand still, so it gives you time to aim and shoot.

I have a few other things but I hope this helped

Nice meme arrowing

@OP
Figure out opponent's shooting style and find a strafe that counters it
Figure out the opponent's strafing pattern and try to shoot him where predicted

Low sensitivity, mines at 60 and that seems to make my shots more accurate

if they shot camp pretend to start shooting and then strafe again

always mix up your strafe, it's the best way to fuck everybody over. sometimes move slightly right or left, sometimes do the standard jump to side everybody does, sometimes sweaty book it with spammy shots right or left.

Not sure if everyone knows what this is but you can:
Dark Rust: Which is waiting for the other person to strafe and shoot a full charge at them
or
MCSG Strafe or Anti-Dark Rust: When you aim but have medium charge so they have no time to hit a full charge unless they figure out where you're going. This helps because you move so fast that they miss a lot of their shots because you move so fast.

-You always wanna know or at least try to guess the other persons movements, or predict where they are going to strafe next.
-For close range, usually there are the dark rusters and the kangaroos. you have the option of getting hit a lot and not moving as much, or strafing to no get hit and shooting less.
-Also the less you move, the more arrows you are able to shoot.
-For long range, strafing is honestly a waste of time. better players choose the "dodging" tactic in which you see the arrow come out of the other opponent's bow and move out of the way of the arrow. Best way to determine where the arrow is going is by the crit particles behind the arrow. I use those to dodge most of the time. I learned that regular strafing at longer ranges is almost pointless as it gives the opponent more time to shoot, and more time to guess which direction your gonna go so they can shoot you. (So use the crit particles to dodge out of the way of the arrow).
-play on a lower sensitivity like 60-80 as it makes your aim not as shakey. But then again this also depends on what strafe or dodging tactic you choose.
-good ms helps with archery as doing the kangaroo, or even long ranging is somewhat difficult with lag. you have to guess so much more to hit them with it..

-also im pretty bad with a bow so don't listen to me

I do this: Against shitty opponents a simple strafe is usually enough, just randomize it with the occasional fake shot and remember that full drawbacks are OP every time you get hit by a double drawback. If you are facing a skilled players however (which is not your problem but I will explain my tactic anyways), I randomize my strafe by fake shooting randomly and sometimes staying on the ground for longer then expected. I also aim beside my opponent so I can hit him after he shoots, to hit him in mid air. I have more but I don't want to share all my tactics :P
