Now as we all know badlion has recently gotten a new host, including new ddos protection. Now I am not very knowledgeable on this subject of how the lines work but my assumption is that your internet passes through the protection into the server itself. I have done a trace of where this new ddos protection is located by changing the ip of na.badlion.net to their numbered ip and locating it and these were my results http://gyazo.com/7119c2a55f046293613d3b0d040d1255 now as you see the ddos protection appears to be located in California on the west coast. Now say the player was located somewhere on the east coast, would the data have to travel from the player to California to Virginia? (The said host location)***THIS IS MY ASSUMPTION/QUESTION PLEASE REPLY IF I AM WRONG***

I've investigated into changing this. Sadly there is nothing I can do. Best bet is to grow us to a large enuff size where we actually can have an east and west NA location.Posted on 11 April 2015 - 09:46 PM
