To you it may be strategic, but overall it's just scummy.It's not fair to the other player for you to give away what they have. Same for when someone dies, says "Oh no I had Sharp 4!" This isn't fair to the person that just killed them and now has it. It's all about fairness.
Just don't be scummy, and you have nothing to worry about :)
