Archer Ladder
I think It would be a good implement if the enderpearls in the archer kit was removed to prevent bowspamming which is not fun for anyone.
Make specific maps just for archer. (no trees, flat).

IMO These suggestions would only benefit the archer ladder.

How do enderpearls correlate to bow "spamming"? There's an enderpearl cooldown so people cannot just shoot, pearl, shoot

I find it ironic that you are asking for the ender pearls to be removed when you abuse them yourself. But nevertheless, I agree with you. Ender pearls are nice and generally useful, but a match that is dependent on only three hits, shouldn't be decided by who can enderpearl better. If you enderpearl into someone's face or right near them, you can get the jump on them and basically end the game then and there.

Addressing your second point, I believe that archery requires legitimate skill to be good at in Minecraft. Certain maps such as wool forest, and emerald mines especially do not belong in an archer rotation in my opinion. While holding and peeking around corners is a part of being good with a bow, bows do not lend themselves to in tight fighting that these maps basically force you into. More open maps would allow the archers that are skilled with the bow to excel and the positioning on the ladder to be more representative of your skill level.

Again, all of this is just my opinion, and I apologize for the novel, but it has been something that I have been thinking about as well.

Tl;dr: I agree.

P.S. I also don't like the idea of a match being decided on only 3 hits, but I think that discussion requires a completely different thread.

I personally feel that the ender pearls are fine the way they are. The cooldown lets you pearl away if the opponent uses it aggressively, and the speed 2 helps you get distance from your opponent easily.

Oh, and regarding the second suggestion: the tree maps are okay, but no trees should have more than one block of thickness. Any map that is based around walls, bow spamming, out crouching or the like should be removed (Emerald Mines, please).

I agree that the ender pearls should stay, they are a key aspect to the ladder, I was just voicing my distaste for them. In my opinion, a true archer ladder would be leather armor, unenchanted bows, and thats it. The man to leave the battlefield alive wins. But hey, I don't think that's for everyone.

But agreed on the maps thing 100%.
