Good morning, day and evening. This post is about South American servers, and the reasons why I think they should be a thing. Many people from south america (Ecuador, PerĂº, Colombia, mostly Argentina and Brazil) play on the Badlion Network, but we don't have our own dedicated servers, not like the NA people, EU people, or AU people. This is really a problem for us since we don't get that great ping to the NA servers, (nor obviusly to the EU or AU servers) which makes our experience on the servers a tad bit worse, and I trully believe you're a server that cares for their community.
These servers' main language would still be English, but us, players, would speak our main language if we want to, just like in the EU servers, I hope I explained myself correctly, if not, here is a little explanation. Let's say for example german people play on EU right? Well, still the server is mainly English speaking, SA would work the same way.
Now, I understand there's also the hosts and moderators issue, for which I'd apply if my idea is accepted, and I've already seen at least 3 other people say the same, and I can say (me at least) I'd be active on the servers, moderating and, of course, having fun.
Also you would earn some more money to keep these servers running, I've heard of tons of people who don't play on Badlion for the simple reason of not getting good ping, and +players = +donators = profit, right?
Anyways if this idea can't be made reality, I appreciate the time you took of reading this.
Have a nice day - Mikel.

As it has been said before, If South America can reach a set amount of players on the weekends (I believe it is 5000 a weekend, correctly me if I'm wrong) GBerry will consider opening a South American server.Posted on 22 April 2015 - 06:14 PM
the thing is , germans dont speak german on EU servers - its mainly UK players on the EU servers - germans and french usually play on servers in their own language - archy and Gberry dont speak spanish so they cant run it or explain issues , bugs and updates etc - also there aren't as many SA players as there are EU or NA - adding an SA server would increase complications and then chinese players will start requesting CH servers and russians will request RU servers and it makes things very complicatedPosted on 22 April 2015 - 06:23 PM
This has nothing to do with languages. Many staff can speak spanish, it's about cost and viability. They only roll out servers where the player count makes it's economically sensible to do so, and it isn't in said locations. I mean look how AU turned out? It never hits 100.Posted on 22 April 2015 - 07:06 PM
@MasterGberry do we have more traffic from AU or South America?Posted on 22 April 2015 - 07:19 PM
@Listen the thing is AU is, well AU, just itself, but SA includes many other countries (Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, etc.) There would definitely be more traffic.Posted on 22 April 2015 - 07:55 PM
I would have to look. The thing people always forget is that we require very string anti-DDOS protection and this is not available in many parts of the world including South America. We are also locked into a contract at the moment with our current Anti-DDOS for a while. The earliest we could look into adding additional regions would be in late summer/early fall most likely. At the moment we are going to stick with the three we have at the moment.Who knows, Badlion might not even be around then.
